The
"Banks Bowling Association" was established in 1935, to spread the
interest in the game of bowling amongst employees of the banks.
Membership is open to people employed by, or receiving, or due to receive a
retirement pension from any Bank in the United Kingdom, or who had a
minimum of five years service in a bank. We have an interesting fixture
list with approximately forty seven matches against County, Association
or various Club sides, indoor and outdoor during the year. Being an Association
there is no "Home Ground" as such, but for the few reciprocal fixtures
that are played, the H.S.B.C. Sports and Social Club, and
The Royal Bank Most of our 260 members are from Kent, Surrey and Sussex, but another twenty counties are also represented. Membership is only £4.00 per annum. Annual Lunch will be held on Friday 6th November 2009. Annual General Meeting will be held Monday 16th November 2009. Contact the Secretary for more information!
