65th Annual Tour to Coleford in The Forest of Dean 19th - 26th June 2010. Every year the Banks Bowling Association has a Summer Tour to a venue selected by the President. The tour lasts for one week and is in a different location each year, sometimes a coastal venue is chosen, sometimes inland. In 2010 the tour was to Coleford in The Forest of Dean,Gloucestershire. The Tour was a mixed event and included wives and partners. Matches were arranged for both men and ladies every day. Because of the distances involved some members who are unable to participate in the regular fixtures, were able to join us for the Tour. Tour Manager, Barry Purt arranged for the tourists to be based at the renowned Bells Hotel, Lords Hill, Coleford. The Hotel is the Headquarters of both The Forest of Dean Bowls Club and the Golf Club. Coleford town/village is about half a mile on foot and there is easy access to Symonds Yat, Clearwell Caves and Monmouth Headquarters: The Bells Hotel (Click here for more details)
